Motor vehicle thefts remain persistently high, exceeding 2.5 lakh cases annually, reflecting urban mobility and parking security issues.
Burglaries, both day and night, continue to be notable, collectively accounting for around 1 lakh cases each year. Robberies and extortion have remained relatively stable, while dacoities show a slight resurgence in 2023 after years of decline.
